Laying the heating cable in the screed
Install the thermal insulation on the rough concrete floor.
Make a preliminary concrete screed (2-3 cm) to hide the thermal insulation and prepare the base for laying the cable, and wait until it dries (1-2 days).
According to your cable layout plan, lay the mounting tape and fasten it on the prepared base, with the distance between the strips of 50-80 cm. Also, instead of the mounting tape, you can use a grid with a cell of about 2 cm; the cable is attached to it with wire, also the grid serves as a reinforcing belt (must be used for wooden floors).
Lay and fasten the cable in accordance with the step you have chosen following the table. Bring the cold ends to the place where the thermostat will be installed. The cold ends can be extended or shortened if necessary, but do not damage the heating cable. The coupling is the boundary between the cold and the hot cable.
When laying, make sure that the coupling is in the pouring area of the cement screed. Overlapping of the heating cable is not permitted. Protect the cable from mechanical damage during the installation. The basic requirement is to lay the cable without damaging it.
After laying the cable, measure the resistance of the heating cable. The tester readings should correspond to the values indicated below:

It is necessary to provide a groove in the floor for the tube of the temperature sensor between the turns of the heating cable. Place the temperature sensor in the plastic corrugated tube included with the system. The sensor should be located inside the tube near its end; its connecting wire should exit from the other end of the tube. Remove the tube from the location of the thermostat to the floor. The bending radius of the tube must be at least 5 cm. The tube hole in the floor should be closed to prevent the tile glue from entering the tube. Fix the tube in the groove and on the wall. After fixing the corrugated tube on the floor and on the wall, make sure that the sensor moves freely inside the tube. To do this, it is enough to partially extend and then reinsert the sensor wire. This installation method is used so that, if necessary, the sensor can be replaced without opening the floor.
Bring the power leads, the cold ends of the system, and the leads of the temperature sensor to the place where the thermostat will be installed. Make a test connection (according to the instructions for connecting the thermostat). Touch the cable with your hand, if it starts to heat up, unplug everything, and proceed to the next step.
Perform the final pouring of the cement-concrete screed with the thickness of at least 2-3 cm. Make sure that air voids do not form (they impede the heat transfer). Wait for it to dry.
Guided by the rules of installation, lay the floor covering (tiles, linoleum, laminate, carpeting, etc.). Install the thermostat, connect all the elements to it, according to the connection instructions. At thatse, electricity must be turned off.
After laying the heating mat, the electrical resistance of the cable is measured
again. The readings must correspond to the factory parameters and are recorded in the guarantee card.
The division of the cement stone lasts 25-30 days, so do not turn on the system until the concrete screed is completely dry. The solution must dry naturally, without the impact of heat.
