Grand Meyer PHC-30 self-regulating heating cable is a tape electric heater with parallel conductors. A semiconducting self-adjusting matrix is applied to tin-plated copper bus bars (1.0 mm²), consisting of a large number of twisted wires. The heat-generating element of the heating cable is the matrix itself, which changes the heat generation depending on the ambient temperature. Two layers of internal insulation deposited on the heat-generating matrix provide dielectric resistance, moisture resistance, protection against shock loads and abrasion, as well as protection against chemical impact on the heat-generating matrix. The first layer of internal insulation is made using a unique patented technology, by the method of joint extrusion with the matrix on conductive wires and forms a single whole with it. The cable is protected by a shield of Al-Mg alloy wires, which provides mechanical protection for the heat-generating matrix and provides reliable grounding along the entire cable length. The outer shell consists of modified polyolefin, and has chemical strength, resistance to solar radiation and allows the use of a heating cable in wet or corrosive environments.
